I break for spring.

Catie's doing it. Kathy's doing it. Now I am doing it too!

Never one to eschew an opportunity to jump on the bandwagon, I joined goodreads last night. As of the moment, I have only "shelved" the books I've already finished this year and the stack sitting here on my coffee table that were birthday presents. It seems like another fun way to have a peek into other people's lives as well as being another source for book reviews.

In other news, I'm on VACATION! It was a rather indulgent thing to do, but I asked to take personal days for the week before our spring break. The greatest-principal-on-the-planet said it was fine with her, resulting in two weeks of leisure. Ahhhh...

I'm leaving Sunday morning for a week in Laguna Beach (during which I will hopefully be finding a way to do fish tacos with a long-time Diaryland friend). My family will join me late Thursday night (after five GLORIOUS days on my own). The husband's little brother and his family will join us on Saturday to barbecue and enjoy the beach and then our kids will go back with them for a visit that will last until the following Wednesday night, giving the husband and I four DELICIOUS nights without children).

The only thing I need is for Mother Nature to take the clouds out of my weather forecast for the next two weeks... so if any of you can call in a favor, that'd be great. :)
