Life is good.

I think that perhaps my hot musician imaginary secret lover got married today. He posted something that doesn't seem cryptic, but everything he says makes me think of those days back in freshman English when the professor would open a discussion about a piece of literature and by the end of class the only thing I was clear about was that I'd had no idea what anything had meant. Anyway, if he did marry his super fabulous forever girlfriend, then I'm totally happy for him. His "off the market" status doesn't change my enfatuation one little bit since I'm not really shopping anyway.

I've been thinking a lot lately about how happy I am with my life. (Of course, having said that *out loud*, I'm sure that I've just cursed things.) I'm in a good place.

Other than the whole getting-up-in-the-morning thing, work is good. I love my job; it means a lot to me to do something that I am proud of, that makes a real difference in people's lives, and that feels like a worthy use of my time and talents.

My family rocks. Sure, the teens (and the husband, for that matter) can be a pain in the butt at times, but we love and enjoy each other and, I think, make a nice unit. We are very close to exactly the family I wish I'd had growing up and I'm glad that I made choices (and put in the effort) to provide that for my children.

I'm feeling better about myself than I have in a long time. I've lost 45 pounds since January and look better than I have since Elle was born nearly 16 years ago. I put myself on track in January to be the best *me* I can be by my 40th birthday in March and I've made great strides in getting there. I have cute new clothes, a gorgeous new hairstyle, and a spring in my step. Yea, I'm also MUCH healthier, which I know is the most important part, and I'm very happy about it, but it's hard to focus on that when my butt looks so cute in these jeans. :)

..... shoot, there's more, but I have to go do a kid pick-up. I'll finish later..
