Beyond Lazy...

I'd planned to lay in the sun today, but proved too lazy to make that happen, what with all the changing into a swimsuit and walking twenty feet out the back door to the hammock. I figure that's got to be some kind of record for laziness... "too lazy to lay in the sun". I bet if I could find the right group of people, I'd get some sort of accolades.

Given that I missed the good hours of sunshine sitting in my cave of an office playing Cubis, I thought it would be a good idea to dash in to school and pick up the work I meant to bring home, but forgot. The funny thing about this is that when it first occurred to me I really thought I might do it. It did not even occur to me that if I was too lame to drag my ass out into the backyard that there really wasn't a chance in hell that I'd get in the car, schlep myself into the next town, and play hope and pray with the alarm system in order to get myself some WORK to do.

It's crunch time. Report cards. Year-end assessments. A musical production of The American Revolution to put on. Student projects to get finished up. And every student and parent wanting every moment of attention they can squeeze out of me before we part for summer.

I hate being busy, can't wait for a nice, long, unproductive summer vacation.

Two more weeks of school.

Four weeks from tonight we'll have checked out of Hilo and be checking in to the B&B we'll be staying at in Volcano to celebrate our 15th anniversary.

I can't wait to be away together.
